Definition of Global Warming
Global warming is increase of the average temperature of Earth surface, which has been monitored since 1950 until now. It is often said that human is a reason of global warming, though there are a lot of natural reasons that contribute to the climate change.
Reasons of Global Warming
Climate change is a global environmental issue, which concerns the whole humanity. Consequences of the global warming will influence life on Earth in a very strong way, so that every single person should be familiar to this problem. The reasons that underlie global warming are divided into two main categories: natural and human.
Let’s start this global warming essay from the natural reasons. Actually, climate on Earth has been gradually changing due to the changes of the intensity of the sunlight. Greenhouse gases are another important factor. There are two main greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide that are generated in nature (as well as by human activity). These gases literally catch solar heat and do not let it inside or outside. This way, heat stays in the atmosphere and the temperature of Earth surface increases.

All of us know that human activity causes growth of amount of greenhouse gases in the environment but one volcanic eruption has much more influence than humanity ever. Extremely big amount of carbon dioxide and ash is released during the volcanic eruption.
The last gas, which is important to the climate change, is methane. We use it in order to get heat but methane is produced in great amounts in nature. Although these amounts are not so big as the amounts of carbon dioxide, methane catches solar heat 20 times better than carbon dioxide. Cattle are a great natural source of methane. Human sources are: landfill, petroleum systems, coal mining etc.
The ways humanity influences climate are not so diverse because all of them are related to industry. Industrialization is closely bound with usage of fossil fuel. Firing fossil fuel causes release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Usage of cars has the same consequence.
Mining and cattle rearing increases the concentration of methane in the atmosphere. Especially manure is a great source of methane.
The last reason is deforestation. Plants absorb carbon dioxide but when humanity destroys forests, the amount of plants decreases and more carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.
